Fire Retardant ACP

ALUCOPANEL A2 Limited Combustibility ACP

The most-specified aluminium composite panel for UAE facades: A2 limited-combustibility core, Civil Defence compliant, made in the Emirates.

ALUCOPANEL A2: the most-specified ACP grade in the UAE

ALUCOPANEL A2 is a limited-combustibility aluminium composite panel classified A2-s1,d0 to EN 13501-1, the grade most commonly specified and approved for UAE facades, balancing genuine fire performance with workability and value.

Its mineral-rich core sits just below A1 on the reaction-to-fire scale while producing very low smoke (s1) and no flaming droplets (d0). For the majority of UAE Civil Defence facade submissions, A2 is the practical, compliant choice, manufactured locally with full test documentation on every batch.

Why A2 is the UAE default

Civil Defence compliant

A2-s1,d0 meets UAE Fire & Life Safety Code requirements for the majority of facade applications.

Low smoke, no droplets

s1 smoke and d0 droplet ratings mean minimal smoke development and no burning fall-out in a fire.

Workable & economical

Routs, folds and fabricates like standard ACP, with better value than full A1 for most projects.

Made in the Emirates

Locally manufactured with batch traceability and test certificates supplied with every order.

Frequently asked questions

What does A2-s1,d0 mean?

It is the EN 13501-1 reaction-to-fire classification: A2 = limited combustibility, s1 = very low smoke production, d0 = no flaming droplets or particles. It is one step below the fully non-combustible A1 class.

Is A2 ACP accepted by UAE Civil Defence?

Yes. A2-s1,d0 aluminium composite panel is accepted for the majority of facade applications under the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code. Confirm the specific class required for your building height and occupancy with your fire consultant.

Should I choose A2 or A1?

A1 is fully non-combustible and used where codes, insurers or fire engineers require the top class, typically the tallest or highest-risk buildings. A2 is the most-specified grade for general UAE facades and offers better workability and value.

What colours and finishes are available in A2?

ALUCOPANEL A2 is coil-coated and available across our full standard and custom colour range, plus metallic, wooden and stone-look finishes on request.
