What is fire-retardant (FR) ACP?
FR aluminium composite panel uses a mineral-modified core engineered to resist ignition and slow flame spread compared with standard PE-core panels. It is suited to applications where the fire strategy permits a fire-retardant rather than fully non-combustible grade.
Is FR ACP allowed on UAE buildings?
It depends on building height, occupancy and the project fire strategy. Many mid-rise and commercial applications permit FR, while high-rise and high-risk facades require A2 or A1. Always confirm with your fire consultant against the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code.
What thicknesses does ALUCOPANEL FR come in?
FR is available in 3 mm and 4 mm, in standard widths of 1220, 1250 and 1500 mm and lengths up to 5800 mm, with custom sizes on request.
Can FR be colour-matched to A2 panels?
Yes. FR shares our colour and finish range, so it can be matched across mixed-grade facades where different areas use different fire classes.
