Ventilated Facade Systems

ACP rainscreen and ventilated facade systems for UAE buildings: drained, back-ventilated cavities, engineered fixing and A2/A1 cores.

ACP rainscreen and ventilated facade systems

A ventilated facade hangs an ALUCOPANEL aluminium composite rainscreen in front of the structural wall, leaving a drained, back-ventilated cavity. Moisture is shed at the outer skin, the cavity dries by natural airflow, and insulation sits protected behind, a build-up well suited to the UAE's heat, humidity and driving rain.

We supply the ACP skin in FR, A2 and A1 cores and support consultants with system build-up guidance, panel layouts and fixing options, cassette (rout-and-return), tray or sub-framed, all manufactured in the Emirates with Civil Defence documentation.

Why specify a ventilated facade

Thermal performance

Continuous insulation behind the rainscreen cuts heat gain and cooling loads.

Moisture control

Drained, back-ventilated cavity sheds water and dries the build-up.

Fire retardant options

FR, A2 and A1 ACP plus mineral insulation for compliant facades.

Design freedom

Crisp cassette lines and the full ALUCOPANEL colour and finish range.

Frequently asked questions

What is a ventilated facade?

A ventilated (rainscreen) facade is a cladding system where an outer ACP skin is hung in front of the wall with a drained, back-ventilated cavity. Rain is shed at the surface and the cavity dries by airflow, while insulation sits protected behind.

What is the difference between a ventilated facade and direct cladding?

Direct cladding fixes panels tight to the wall, while a ventilated facade leaves an air cavity for drainage and ventilation, improving thermal and moisture performance, preferred for many UAE high-performance buildings.

Can ventilated facades meet UAE fire requirements?

Yes. We supply FR, A2 and A1 ACP cores, and the system can use mineral wool insulation and cavity barriers to meet UAE Civil Defence fire requirements.

Do you support consultants with system design?

Yes. We provide build-up guidance, panel layouts and fixing options (cassette, tray or sub-framed) to support facade specification.
