The cladding must be genuinely safe, because the occupants are children or patients. It must survive decades of hard use on a public budget. And it still has to look welcoming, because these are the buildings communities judge. Here is how ACP answers all three, and what to specify.
For schools and healthcare buildings the fire conversation is short: specify non-combustible. A1 and A2-s1,d0 panels do not feed a fire and produce minimal smoke, and smoke is the number that matters most when a building full of children needs to move out calmly. The regulatory side agrees. Education and healthcare occupancies sit in the strictest cladding categories in the UAE fire code, and approvals ask for the classification reports up front.
This is also a category where the paperwork is not a formality. Public projects are audited, and the panel on the wall must match the Mill Test Certificate (MTC) in the file, batch for batch. All of it comes from the same colour range, so the safety specification never limits the design.
For education and healthcare facades we recommend writing it plainly: 4 mm panel, 0.5 mm skins, core classified A2-s1,d0 or A1 to EN 13501-1, high performance coil coating with written colour warranty, manufacturer classification report and Civil Defence approval submitted with the material approval.
